Word of the Day Every morning on the announcements, a new word is read, defined, and used in a sentence. Students and teachers are encouraged to use this word throughout their daily activities.  If a student can tell an administrator throughout the day the word and use the new word in a sentence, they will recieve a pass to get to the front of the lunch line that day.  If the student can find the word in a book or on a website in context, then their name will be entered in a drawing for a gift card at the end of the week.  So spread the word of the day at Alonso!   Go to www.dictionary.com to find out the definition for the word.
