Alonso's Baseball Team Win State Champtionships!

Students Were Awarded the "Ravens Best" Award (Posted 5/5/09)
Check out the list of students who recieved the "Ravens Best Award" by excelling in their classes.  100% of our "Talented Twenty" were nominated for this award.  These students were honored at a luncheon on April 28th.

Jenna Silvers won the 2009 Community Service Award from the Anne Frank Memorial Holocaust Museum!

Alec Vidmar and Tiffani Mullen won the Pepsi Athlete-Scholar Awards and were honored on April 29th at the Doubletree Hotell for their Academic and Athletic Excellence!

Joey DiPompo and Tiffani Mullen won the Chick-fil-A / Dick's Sporting Goods Athlete Scholar Award and will be honored at Jefferson High School on May 7th for their Athletic and Academic Achievements!

New Discipline Procedures
Please read the new discipline procedures that are in place at Alonso High School.  

Update: Numerous Cases of Gastroenteritis in Hillsborough County
Please be aware that there have been numerous cases of gastroenteritis in Hillsborough County.  For more information on the symtoms and how to prevent your child from being affected, read the letter from our Health Services Department.

FCAT Electronic Policy
Students may not have any electronic or recording devices at the desks, clipped to their belts, in their pockets, or anywhere they can reach them during testing, even if the devices are turned off or the students do not use them.

- If a student is found to be in possession of ANY electronic device- even radios or IPODS during testing, his or her test will be invalidated and the item will be confiscated.
- Please note that IPODS are included in this policy.
- This is a zero tolerance policy.

Internet Safety
Students, parents, and community members!  Below are some internet safety tips that everyone needs to know before using the internet.  

1. I will tell an adult I trust if anything makes me feel scared, uncomfortable, or confused.
2. I will ask my parents or guardian before sharing my personal information.
3. I won't meet in person with anyone I have first "met" online.

Money Collections Policy - As of September 2007
All purchases or money collections at Alonso High School over the amount of $25.00 must be in the form of cash or money order.  
Checks written for any amount over $25.00 will NOT be accepted.
Any checks under $25.00 used to purchase items, pay for club dues/fundraisers, etc. must contain the following information:
1. Name, address and phone number of check issuer
2. Student ID number in the memo line
